Kim Wyman
Senior Fellow, Elections Project; Former Washington Secretary of State
Kim Wyman brings thirty years of federal, state, and county-level elections experience to BPC as a Senior Fellow. She is committed to improving election administration and has worked diligently to ensure our nation’s elections remain accessible, secure, and accurate.
Previously, Wyman served as the Senior Election Security Advisor for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Before that, she was elected as Washington Secretary of State and Thurston County Auditor. Wyman began her career in election administration as the Thurston County Elections Director.
A graduate of California State University Long Beach, Wyman earned a Master of Public Administration degree from Troy State University. She earned state and national election administration certifications and served in leadership roles in many civic and professional associations. She was selected as a Rodel Fellow by the Aspen Institute in 2013.
A leader of national renown, Wyman often shares award-winning, innovative election administration and cybersecurity practices with organizations across the country. She has received numerous awards and distinctions, including induction into The Election Center Hall of Fame in 2022 for her contributions to the election community.
