Michael Vavala

Michael Vavala is the senior director of BPC’s human resources (HR). Prior to joining BPC in July 2013, he worked in the finance and HR department at See Forever Foundation, which operates the Maya Angelou Public Charter Schools in the District of Columbia, and the D.C. juvenile detention center school in Laurel, MD. He also worked with the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, supporting the development team on events in the United States and around the world. Vavala earned his bachelor’s degree with honors in political science from American University in Washington, D.C.
