Kimberly Dean
Director, BPC Action
Kimberly Dean serves as director for the BPC Action. Prior to joining BPC Action in April 2011, she worked on the staff of former Senator Jim Bunning for 10 years. Dean served the legislative office in several capacities, including legislative assistant, legislative director, and counsel and chief of staff. In these roles, she oversaw Bunning’s efforts on a wide range of legislative issues, supporting the Senator’s work on the Senate Finance Committee, Banking Committee, Energy Committee, and Budget Committee. Dean also developed and coordinated political and senate floor strategy, and was responsible for supervising the senator’s D.C.-based legislative and press staff. She also advised the senator and helped lead legislative efforts on energy and environmental issues.
A native of Louisville, KY, Dean received a B.A. in chemistry from Hanover College in Hanover, IN, and holds a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland. Before attending law school, she worked as an environmental chemist.
