The Bipartisan Policy Center Young Policy Professionals Fellowship (YPP) is an intensive, online, educational, and professional opportunity in Washington D.C for rising high school seniors, recent graduates of high school, freshmen and sophomores in their undergraduate careers. The students selected will have the opportunity to learn and gain experience in bipartisanship, research, and network in America’s top bipartisan think tank.
Specially tailored toward younger undergraduate students and high school seniors, the YPP program works to instill BPC’s core values of bipartisanship, inclusivity, and collaboration in students from a young age. BPC is constantly working to bring people together, regardless of their politics, demographics, and identity of circumstances. We want to extend that philosophy to the next generation.
This 6-week intensive program will bring students from all over the country and world to learn about the policy making process, BPC itself, and how BPC contributes to the national discussion on bipartisan policy. The core of the program will be panels with various BPC members on a variety of topics where students can learn more about various policy areas and how bipartisanship is achieved. Outside of these panels there will be opportunities to network and work in Washington DC.
Location: Online/Washington D.C
Dates: 6-week course from July 3, 2023 – August 11, 2023
Class Size: 10-15 students
Funding: A stipend of $500
Time Commitment: 10 hours per week

Application Process
Please submit all required materials via the BPC Careers page.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until a qualified candidate has been identified. Please do not send multiple submissions. Incomplete applications and applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Due to the number of applications received, we are unable to contact those who have not been selected for an internship. No phone calls, please. Non-U.S. citizens are eligible to apply but must have a valid work permit or visa verifying eligibility to work in the United States. We do not offer visa sponsorship.
