Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and related policy issues are captivating policymakers on both sides of the aisle. Both Republicans and Democrats recognize that AI technologies have tremendous potential to benefit society but also pose significant risks. As policymakers continue to debate and explore key issues in AI policy, the Bipartisan Policy Center is excited to bring together leading experts for a thought-provoking and insightful discussion on “The Future of AI Governance.”
This event will address some of the AI policy issues animating discussions in Congress and the White House, including:
- AI technologies’ benefits and risks in different contexts
- How to facilitate transparent and effective AI testing, oversight, and broader risk mitigation to promote accountability
- Federal agencies’ roles in AI governance
- The role of legislation (vs. soft law governance frameworks)
- The impact of data privacy and online content moderation policy measures on AI governance
To learn more about these issues and others, please join us at 2:00 PM ET on September 14.
