Join BPC next Wednesday, February 16, for a special conversation on the Electoral Count Act (ECA) with legal scholars Derek T. Muller and Richard H. Pildes, moderated by Lara Brown, Ph.D. The ECA, which guides Congress through counting Electoral College votes, became a flashpoint on January 6 – but what’s next and how do we stop an incident like this from happening again?

A bipartisan group of senators organized by Sen. Susan Collins is actively considering several changes to the ECA to thwart future attempts to disrupt the transition of power. Join us as we look at the suggested changes to the ECA, unintended consequences any changes could cause, how the law became fodder for various conspiracies, and much more!
