Janelle Chan, Bryan Greene, and Gisele Roget Join the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Housing Advisory Council

Washington, DC – The Bipartisan Policy Center is excited to announce that Janelle Chan, Bryan Greene, and Gisele Roget have joined BPC’s Housing Advisory Council. They join a group of more than 20 housing policy experts convened in March 2021 to help BPC identify and prioritize policies that:

• Continue to meet the urgent housing needs of Americans affected by COVID-19;
• Advance racial equity and opportunity through housing, address disproportionately high housing costs, entrenched segregation and concentrated poverty, and disparities in homeownership and family wealth; and
• Preserve and build affordable homes to strengthen families and their financial resilience and propel our country’s economic recovery.

“Expanding access to affordable housing is and must remain an urgent national priority,” said Andy Winkler, director of BPC’s housing and infrastructure project. “Our three newest council members have worked tirelessly throughout their careers to advance this imperative. Their collective expertise, experience, and enthusiasm will help us better identify and promote bipartisan housing policies that can help boost our country’s economic recovery while advancing racial equity and opportunity.”

Janelle Chan is the national director of housing at Ballmer Group, working to advance economic mobility and ensuring that families and kids have stable, affordable housing. Before joining Ballmer Group, Chan served as undersecretary of the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, as well as the chief of real estate for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority.

Bryan Greene is the vice president of policy advocacy at the National Association of Realtors (NAR), where he oversees all legislative and regulatory advocacy on behalf of the association’s 1.5 million members. Greene was previously NAR’s first director of fair housing policy and was the highest-ranking career official in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity.

Gisele Roget is the founding principal of Overbrook Square Group, a housing and financial services advisory firm with a mission to support private and public sector clients that empower individuals and communities to build wealth. Previously, she was the deputy chief of staff and director of external affairs at the National Credit Union Administration. She also served as deputy assistant secretary of the Federal Housing Administration, leading the Office of Single-Family Housing.
